Ripping and burning takes an age (1Hr for each), DMA is enabled on the drive. I've tried different programs but no joy, still slow.
    Please help!!!!

    Hi lopperout
Without knowing the system specs and the programs you use makes it hard to pinpoint what your problem could be
I run a P4 2.4ghz 512 ram and 800 gig of hard drive space. It takes me about an hour to rip, deep scan, shrink and burn.
    I hope this helps

As stated, need more info. If your ripping with your burner, it may be locked at a 2x rip speed. You will need a hacked firmware to get past that. Length of original movie has a big effect on total time. Longer movies take longer times.
