    Are you pointing ripit4me to decrypter and shrink correctly? Under logs/setting click on preferences and look towards the bottom for "Paths to Programs" The box with black dot, click on it and make sure you locate where Decrypter is located. Do same for Shrink. Like this:

    Path to Decrypter: C:\Program Files\DVD Decrypter\DVDDecrypter.exe

    Path to Shrink: C:\Program Files\DVD Shrink\DVD Shrink 3.2.exe

    Can anyone help me with my problem? Every time I try to use Rip it 4 Me, Windows gives me a "This program has performed an illegal action and will be closed down." I have no idea why this error keeps popping up or how to make it stop. Any suggestions anybody?

    Try running as administrator.. if it still throws the error then reinstall ri4m. Don't use the all in one installer if you have it.. just put the relevant exe files for it and decrypter and shrink in the same folder anywhere and adjust the paths accordingly. It goes without saying that none of these programs should be allowed to look on the net for updates... ever..

    Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get acquainted with DVDFab HD Decrypter as R4M will be seeing no more support or updates.

    Sorry....I'm new to this stuff....maybe this is why people hate computer is becuase when you try to learn people are snarky to you. I appreciate the help you've given me but there's no reason to be rude about it.

    come on deadlove, you were a noob once, just like the rest of us; i'm never rude to anyone, the worst i do is subject unruly kids or spammers to my dry humour (a bit like the Vogon's use poetry as torture in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).

    @GreyFox2

    Don't worry about anything that goes around here. Most is forgotten the next day. Most of us can't remember what we did last week much less who we might think insulted us. Welcome to AD. You'll enjoy hanging around here. Hell no one knows who you are in real life anyway. A serial killer could be the most popular member! LOL
