rip umd's

    how is that done. is there anything that i gotta buy in order to back my games up?

    no, download fastloader, and go to dump inserted umd option :)

    you only have to buy the UMDs to back your games up. Other than that, go and d/l:

    UMD Ripper (MPH Website)
    and
    Fastloader v0.7

    They both have their benefits. If you wanna rip a game to hack it, you should use UMD Ripper. If you wanna rip a game that doesn't require hacking, just use Fastloader and then change the name of "MyLatestDump" to "whatevergame.iso". Fastloader is MUCH faster than UMD Ripper.

    so fastloader has the option for you to rip the umd straight to the mem card. i got a 2.6 and wanna knock it down to a 2.0, so would it work on a 2.0?

    y don't u "knock it down" (2.6) to 1.5 with a downdater :eek:?!

    that's what I'm sayin'... Just downgrade to 1.50 and then you can have your precious 2.00 features but in 2.60 emulation...

    so I can do 2.6 down to 1.5 and use that devhook to emulate 2.6 so I can still surf the web?

    sorry i'm just trying to understand everything so I don't brick my psp haha

    You got it! 2.6 down to 1.5 back up to 2.6 "fake" so you can change between 1.5 and 2.6 as often and as quickly as you would like!

    if i were you id downgrade to 1.5 then use one of dark-alex's hacked psp versions.. i use 3.10 oe-a' and it works fine.... what it lets you do is cabsically boot anything you can boot in a 1.5 version psp and still do everything a 3.10 psp can do... meaning no lost web browser... play most the umds available it really is an amazing version..
