difficult question, since rippers by definition don't make copies. rippers is the process of copying a disc to the hard drive. DVD rippers by definition will unencrypt disc that have protection schemes on them. For example dvd decrypter, smartripper and dvd shrink will take out the protection schemes (i.e. css) so that they can be burned. all three can make true dvd-dvd copies. The problem is in try to burn these copies. DVDs are usually dvd-9 or dual layer discs so they contain 8.7 gb of data. The most that can be burned is 4.36 gb of data on a dvd-/+r. Therefore we don't usually want true dvd-dvd copies since it takes TWO discs (which in itself is a pain in the ass).
thanks for the answer.last summer i purchased some pirate dvd's on bali,indonesia,and they were real dvd copies,how do those guys produce them? the quality was exelent.they had all the menues on them, like the real thing you buy in a shop.
