    Hi,
I just bought a Sony DRU-720A internal burner with Nero. I want to back up all my music cds so what program do I need? Can I do this with Nero and nothing else?

    Thanks!

your title says "ripping cds", however your post says backing up CDs. What is it you want to do, make a copy of your audio CDs, or rip them to mp3?

If you want to backup, just do CD copy in nero and that should work fine. For converting to mp3, like weazel said EAC is the best.

I use Audiograbber (free) to rip (fast and simple), and Nero to burn.

EAC and LAME are also free, and EAC is a much better ripper...
