Hi, I have a couple of CDs that don't say they are copy protected or anything (Layer Cake OS, Jemma Hayes) but absolutely nothing I have can rip them onto my laptop. I have tried Itunes, Real Player and MS Media Player, on all of them the first track starts to rip but then just slows down and stops, and that's that!

I am assuming they are copy protected or something, which is retarded 'cause all I want to do is out them on my iPod.

Does anyone know of any good CD ripping software that will overcome this problem?

    Thanks

give EAC (exact audio copy) a try. It is free, and the best ripper out there. Then use the LAME mp3 encoder to convert the wav files to mp3 with VBR settings, and you will have the best sounding mp3s possible. Follow this guide here:
