ripping dual layer dvd

    i am trying to rip a dual layer dvd with dvd decrypter and also shrink.when i get the rip process it tell me that i need 83 gb of space to rip to hard drive. why would this be happening. when i click properties of the dvd and open the video vts folder it has 83gb of files. what the.........

    What is the dvd you are trying to rip?
