Ok so I'm using DVD Decrypter/Shrink to rip and reauthor.
Everything works perfect. When I playback on my PC, it's perfect.
When I playback on my DVD player (Pioneer Elite 79 - brand new)
the first few mins and sometimes even after an hr of the movie, I get a lot of noise, pauses, weird green/red squares, very jittery playback...why? I checked all my settings, I do deep analysing, error correcting checked with decrypter...still the same thing.
Anyone else get this? or know how to correct this? I know for sure it's not my DVD player, it is literally top of the line Pioneer Elite player as of a few months ago. Please advise, I would be forever grateful to stop making coasters!...thanks!

Sometimes slowing the record speed from the Max to the Min works for some DVD recorders.

    I'm using SONY DVD-R.
I tried slowing down my speed also, still nothing.
Weird how on my pc it's perfect, but in the player not so.

Like 300bowler said what media are you using?

To me it sounds like a media problem.

Use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Sony(MIJ), Maxell(MIJ), all good media is Made in Japan.

Also booktype your discs to DVD-Rom for better compatibility.

Like he said, it's all in the media. I had all kinds of crappy movies that wouldn't play worth crap on my PS2. Then I got a stack of TDK DVD+R 1-16x and burned them at 6x. Now the movies play absolutely perfectly.

Poor media, too fast of a burn speed, out dated firmware, multitasking while burning, low system resources, etc., can yeild these effects....

OMG!!!...you guys rock!..It worked! I picked up a new stack of Sony DVD-Rs, made sure they were labeled 'Made in Japan'..didn't even know there was a difference, some are indeed made in Taiwain. Slowed my speed down to 6x, and voila! No more stuttering/jittering! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
