I have been trying to rip my Pantera DVD for the last two days and nothing is working. I have tried dvd shrink, decrypter, anydvd, dvd clone, Nero Recode, etc and nothing is working. At first I thought it was the disk, so I exchanged it at the store. It is still doing the same cyclic redundancy error message. I am new to ripping so I don' know if it is the disk or my system. Some help would be greatly appreciated.
Can you post a NERO log file that we could see? Use the guide links in my signature to establish an effective process and try it again. CRC errors ususally mean a dirty, scratched, disc. You did clean it? Post back.
Both of the discs were brand new when I tried to burn them. With nero I think you have to decrypt the disc to your harddrive, but so far I can't even get that done. Any suggestions? Just out of curiosity, is there some type of copy protection that they put bad sectors on the disc on purpose? Is there a program to by-pass this? Thanks.
Sorry fot the partial double post. I didn't know you could edit the post after submitted. Just out of curiosity, is there some type of copy protection that they put bad sectors on the disc on purpose? Is there a program to by-pass this? Thanks.
You can try dvdfab decrypter express. It's helped me backup some very difficult movies like lords of dogtown, whereas dvd shrink/dvd decrypter/dvdfab decrypter all failed. You'll want to make sure you activate anydvd. I think this link should bring you up to the free trial: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/DVDFab_Express.cfm
