Sorry if this is invalid here, but i want to be able to rip pc games such as StarCraft onto my pc so that i do now need the CD to run the game. Anyone have any advice on software, or tricks and gimmicks?
Well your best bet would to get a piece of software called Alcohol 120%. It allows you to rip pc games regardless of their protection scheme. It then allows you to mount (a.k.a insert) the resulting "virtual cd" into a virtual drive. Alcohol 120% makes this process fairly easy. If you have mounted a game and a window pops-up asking for the correct cd/a cd you will need to do 1 of two thins. 1. make sure the option to use RMPS is enabled in the options menu and if that doesnt work then 2. get a no-cd/no-dvd crack for that particular game. If you need me to be a little more indepth with this just ask.
You can also use this site to download the no cd crack if available or use gamejackal to make one yourself. http://gamecopyworld.com/
At BigDK yeah I didnt really think to mention GameJackal. Is that all it does? Create a no-cd/dvd crack? I never really thought about how the program works as I use Alcohol 120% and never cared to look into the matter. Heres a couple dependable game crack sites . . . www.gameburnworld.com www.gamecopyworld.com www.megagames.com
