ok, so i tried AnyDVD, DVD43, Ripit4me and DVD Decrypter. none so far have worked, dvd decrypter with ripit4me got closest, but a few times i got this message: Encryption Detected! File: VTS_10_2.VOB LBA: 3061411 The disc is not supposed to be protected by CSS/CPPM so this is somewhat strange! Would you like to try and decrypt the encrypted data? Note: If you click 'Yes' or 'Yes To All' and it fails, try again with 'No' or 'No At All' this popped up on two seperate files so far. I tried doing it yes to all, and no to all. neither worked, when it was finished, a few scenes had been ripped, but most was scrambled and a green screen. it wouldnt even load the ripped files onto DVD Shrink. need some advice. Try these below: * turn off or disable AnyDVD * turn off or disable DVD43 <==== completely useless, in my opinion * open up DVD Decrypter - click on Tools, Settings, General and unticked/unchecked "Check For Structure Protection," click OK. - click on Mode, and choose File F, then close/exit DVD Decrypter Now insert the disc (or original DVD), launch RipIt4Me and restart everything over. Best of luck!!
Alkohol is right, the settings need to be set for RipitforMe in Decrypter. If you use DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD, you also need to make sure of those settings and also turning off the CSS cracking. I didn't see the error in the Ripit4Me log, the last line said What happened after that? According to that line, RipIt4Me had done its analysis, imported the psl files into DVD Decrypter and was just getting ready to rip the DVD.
after that dvd decrypter started its business and thats when i got that wierd error messag about the encryption.
Download the latest trial of AnyDVD and install it. Go to decrypter and uncheck Check for Structure Protection under the General tab. Under CSS/CSS Cracking Method select None, then under I/O select SPTI-Microsoft. Those are settings suggested by Slysoft for using AnyDVD and Decrypter together. Turn on AnyDVD and then DVD Decrypter and use Decrypter to rip your DVD to the hard drive. Once through ripping, turn off the AnyDVD. It sometimes interferes with other software. Once you have the files on the HD you want to check them for compliance. Have either the free DVD Shrink installed or if you have Nero with Recode 2 you can use it. Open the files in either of those and let quick analysis run. If it goes through analysis, the files should be compliant. If not process the files with the free program FixVTS. You should have files that will work in any transcoding app. Shrink or Recode 2 do a decent job of transcoding or use one of choice. Shrink is free and supports free burners as wel as the retail Nero. Once the files are decrypted and compliant, the rest should be easy.
