Alright, I was trying to find a program that would rip streaming video, real media and quicktime specifically, however, windows media would also be nice. Anywho, I ended up getting Streambox VCR 3.1 off of afterdawn because it was recommended, however, I am having a bit of trouble with it. It seemed easy enough to use, but maybe on missing something, because the end result is a horrible ammount of frame loss.

The file I'm attempting to download clocks in at 18mb on Streambox when the dl starts, the end result is 3.5 mb. The entire length is there, however, the frame rate is about 1 frame every 3-5 seconds.

A google search brought up a couple of forums with the same quip, but no answers. Is this an inherient problem in Streambox vcr? Is there a fix? Or is there an alternative?

    Thank you

Oh, I forgot to mention that the file I am downloading is a real media file, and the url is rtsp://216.240.136.93:554/j20.220.rm . I'm not sure if this info is important to my post, but I figure it should be included.

    Thanks again

StreamBox VCR download problems or no video problems.

For most normal usage Streambox VCR should always be set to use a high bandwidth connection.
    Settings - Connection - Bandwidth - T1 LAN

If StreamBox VCR is not set to use a high enough bandwidth you may not get the highest quality file and may instead get a smaller, lower quality file that especially for video may cause problems such as still frame video.
