I was woundering if Ritek cd-r are as good are the DVD they make? Are they better then TDK? Are these disc good for a long time use or just short time...What has been ur experience with them?
I just got some about a week ago. They were pretty inexpensive so I gave them a whirl. I'm using a Plextor Premium 52X and the first thing I noticed is that both CloneCD 4.2.0.2 and PlexTools Pro 2.08 wanted to kick the burn down to 40X when doing a straight audio disc copy but with great results. Next I used Nero and set the burn at 52 X and got this: C1: Avg/sec : 2.9 Max/Sec : 29.0 Total : 7952.0 No C2 or CU Then I used Nero again and kicked it down to 40X and ended up with ths: C1: Avg/Sec : 0.4 Max/Sec : 17.0 Total : 1127.0 No C2 or CU Seems the best burn is around 40X but even at 52X there weren't any C2. Can't say about the longevity as I've only had them a week! Here's the ATIP: ATIP: 97m 15s 17f Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co. Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine) Media type: CD-Recordable Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown nominal Capacity: 702.82MB (79m 59s 70f / LBA: 359845) I got them at supermediastore (click-through to help AD) for $28/100. Hope this helps. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Gun Control - The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, strangled with her pantyhose is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to the police how her attacker recieved that fatal bullet wound.[/small]
