in the past i have bought films from people on ritek discs which play fine on my standalone player so i bought the datasafe ritek discs but no matter what i do the backup films wont play on my standalone can any1 shed any light on this please
maybe your player isnt compatable with the type disc you have ie. -or+ i havent used the datasafe ritek so i dont know if those are the good riteks or not (there is some bad riteks out their) check players out with this chart:http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php good luck and welcome to the club jim
i know that my standalone is compatible with ritek g04 dye brand DVD-R as i have films bought from other sources that play on it the datasafe riteks i bought are the same g04 dye and are supposed to be the most reliable riteks available i have tried dvd decrpytor, dvd shrink, alchohol 120 and clone dvd none of which will allow the disc to be played in my standalone

sorry should have added more info i have a copy of kill bill it is on an unbranded G04 ritek disc this plays fine in my standalone i have tried copying this with various programs dvd shrink, clone dvd, roxio disc copier i have even tried ripping it to the HD with dvd decryptor first then burning it i have tried burning at 1x 2x and 4x but still no luck when it comes to playing it the annoying thing is though is that it will play in my ps2 but as both discs are ritek grade A i cant understand why the one i copy wont play
Query: You ripped a DVD-9 with DVD Decrypter then burned it to disk, What a guy you are - What did you use with DVD Shrink ? What did you use with CloneDVD ? What did you use with Roxio ? the copy of kill bill i have is a backup its been burned onto a ritek disc this will play fine on my dvd player but when i try to copy it with the datasafe riteks i bought it will not play in my dvd player i have tried everyway i can think of the copy this to get it to work the movie is burned onto the disc fine because it will play in my ps2 and in my pc this is the software i have used to copy it clone dvd alchohol 120 nero 6 dvd decrypter dvd shrink roxio easy cd creator i buy a lot of copys from people and they all work on my dvd player and all of them are riteks
