I downloaded movies that are in rmvb format and i wanted to get them into a dvd-r so i can watch it on my dvd player. However..i dunno any ways to convert rmvb to dvd/vcd...soo im hoping someone out there discovered a way, so they can help me out. Thanks in advance.

Numerous apps capable of doing it. Most rely on Gabest's dshow filter and real's codecs or use mencoder, which also requires real decoder for the video (libavcodec can handle cook audio and faad can be used for aac).

Anything that can take input via dshow should work with Gabest's splitter and real's dll's (either manual install+Real Player or Real Alt). Then there are mencoder front ends like SUPER.

    Should point out that
    1) lisa_8023 most likely works or gets commissions from winavi.
    2) Last time I checked it was one of the apps that uses Gabest's filter.

    I recommend Video Tools
It supports all modern video formats and have built-in DVD/VCD burning engine.
