i have recently learned that law enforcement has to make public in advance when and where roadblocks (checkpoints) are going to be. however i cant find anything on the internet with this info on how or where to find this. i found www.roadblock.org , but that only shows roadblocks that have already happened. any help would be greatly appreciated.
@ zoso so as far as u know there is no web site with this info? hmmm this sounds interesting. its been awhile since i had a good idea, but this might be one. i think there are probably millions of people that would like to be able to just point and click to find this info on a daily basis. what do u think?
yeah no website i know of. it would be a good idea to start one but it would take research daily to keep on top of it. its always the weekends they do it fri, and sat nights
it used to be that way around here, until the terrorist and illegal imigration thing got so big. now its a daily thing (roadblocks). i have several friends that are scared to drive to work now. because theyve had multiple dwi's and cant get drivers license anymore. where i live there isnt any mass (public) transit. if u cant drive then u cant work, period. no one i know can survive without a pay check. lookout google here i come. i cant believe no one has thought of this before. ive been on google and ask jeeves for several hours and i cant find any good site for this. the only one ive found that might be something, offers to send u a text message on ur cell phone.
Sorry to be the ass, but your friends got what they deserved. Driving is a privilege, not a right, and they've been endangering the lives of others on the road by driving under the influence. That's irresponsible as hell. They should try carpooling with legal drivers.
& now have to sleep in it. my stepfather met a drunken military major at night time back in 75. my stepfather spent at least a week in hospital with broken bones which is better then the major who is now 6ft under.
well i did get one back in 1997, when me and my first wife split up. the laws were not as strict back then and my attorney got me out of it for a large fee. im defenitly not advocating drunk driving. in my opinion the internet lost its morality along time ago. think about it, anyone with half a brain can find almost anything on the net. from how to make meth, how to make bombs, how to get pain pills and a whole lot of porn. thats why i thought this was such a big deal. this is not only legal but required by the supreme court (the public must be informed ahead of time). not only that but it is against the law(roadblocks) in 11 states. i even talked to a couple of my friends that are law enforcement officers and they were not aware of this either. so i called my attorney and he said it was true but he couldnt give me any details ( i guess not, thats how he makes his living). he referred me to the state capitol, he said i could get a copy of all state and federal laws there for a small fee. im not here to discuss morals, im sure none of us great upstanding members here at ad drink and drive, do drugs, make bombs or watch porn. i just think its a good idea for a web site, since noone else is doing it and its completely legal. think about it, u could charge the sh*t out of dwi and immigration lawyers to advertise.
Ahh, I do all of those except build bombs, hell I probably tried to build a few when I was a kid actually - LOL! I use to have a problem with drinking and thinking it was cool to drive. I learned a very valuable lesson with that and no longer drink and drive. Nobody's perfect, we are all human, we make mistakes. So you're looking to start up a site that indicates where roadblocks are setup around town? Cool idea, I suppose. That's not an issue here in my city and I don't think it ever will be. Do you really think that having this type of website would do well?
