Ok I have contacted them and they are planning on coming to set it all up for me July 23! I was wondering since I'm in the country will my it run slow?? Does anyone else live in the country with RoadRunner and get fast speeds?? Can people post there speeds they get with RR?? Thank you

I don't think that will be an issue. You may actually be faster as there's not as much traffic. Not 100% positive on this though.

iam sure the speed will be fine my brother has RR and its fine
    do you have dailup now?
if you do and your going to cable you will def. be in for a shock
    its worth ever cent (cable)
the only time it might be a little slower is during peak time periods of the day when everyone is on say early evening

I live in a pretty urban area, so I'm sure there's tons of traffic over cable internet, especially since they don't offer DSL here. I've not noticed any slowdowns ever, unless it was just one site which tells me it's their servers.

I have RoadRuner and the speeds are great. I live in Houston Tx a big city and I still get some graet speeds. And plus the cable tv is awesome.

I'm sure you will. Once you go broadband you'll never go back.

Everyone here who owns RoadRunner...Did you tweak your settings so you download faster or did you just leave everything alone when you got it and lived with it and just enjoyed it or what?? Please I don't know if I should tweak it or not or if it will already be fast enough

i have dsl from yahoo, the pro package, i get speeds of up to 5megs on downloads, and i hear cable can possibly do 6megs on the d/l
i run speeds tests on mine every day and average 4megs a second even in peak times....

DSL has a higher upload limit but a lower download limit, from what I hear. But for downloads it's rare that you're actually reaching your full potential. About the highest I've ever seen with cable is about 1.5 MB/s.

Just remember that there's 8 bits in a byte, bits are the lower-case b and bytes are the capital B.

this pro package is new here for us, i do notice the difference already !!
i have verified my speed thru multiple speed check, even cnet, shows both uploads and downloads
