    Hi Everyone,

Firstly, I am a doctor and not so tech savvy. Wat I want to accomplish is from my handicamera i record surgeries and i want to write a DVD of that content without using a computer.

some suggested that i buy a DVR and connect my handicam to it and burn dvd.. can someone please throw some light on this matter. thanks..

theres not alot of light to throw.
Most DVR's will have a DVI input for connection between camera and recorder or otherwise you could use composite video connections. Which does youe camers have as an output??

MostDVR's are multi-format these days which means they record to DVD-r and DVD+R disks.
DVD+R disks are said to be the most suitable for compatibility on other DVD players for this type of "Home Movie".
