Do you need emulators? No and Yes. No, you do not need emulators to play PSP backups. Yes, you do need emulators to play Super Nintendo, Gameboy Advance, etc backups.
To run homebrew, put the "ABC" and "ABC%" folders of the homebrew into the "GAME150" folder inside the "PSP" folder. If there is no GAME150 folder, make one.

I Have a 3.03 OE-C PSP that my friend hacked for me and I just wanted to know what is the point of devhook in other words what does it do how does it enhance your psp experience If someone could reply I would be thankful and can i put devhook on 3.03 OE-C

 

ok now im having problems running iso's. i got this metal slug iso and it was too big for my memory card which is 1gb. iso is 1.34. so i got this iso shrink, shrinked the iso to a cso file. the game shows up but it freezes when i have aumd disk in the psp and when i dont it says came cannot be read. whats the deal?

 

ok problem solved. was a bad file. about emulators, whats the best ones out there? i got this sega genesis one and its kool. what else?

 

Hi I recently installed devhook 0.51 using the utimate installer. The problem is everything seems to work correctly, devhook loads the 3.1 fw onto my 1.5 psp. But it displays on the devhook menu the following :-

PRELOAD ADDR 89200000
FIRMWARE NOT SUPPORTED
REMOTE PORT NOT SUPPORTED

and it seems to display the path to the iso i am trying to load at the bottom. But it doesnt seem to load the iso.

The other problem is my X O buttons seem to have swapped.

Hello, I have devhook .51 installed on my 1.50 psp. I want to know how can I run ISOs or CSOs on my PSP, it cannot read UMDs so it won't load. Is there a way that I can load them without needing a UMD (I have umds)?

I have devhook 0.52 with a 1.5 PSP and I can't run some isos. However, the main problem is that I can't put any pictures or music or videos because my PSP corrupts my files. What is wrong with devhook??

 

Guys...nothing that a re-install won't fix(or an update to a custom firmware)...

 

i have 3.30 firmware on my PSP, which downgrader I need if I want to play iso games

 

u need the 3.50 downgrader, all you need is the official 3.50 upgrade, an original copy of lumines puzzle fusion (first one), the files by team noobz, and the 1.50 upgrade (official sony one). You need to upgrade to 3.50 and then follow youtube vids showing you how to downgrade.

BTW, Actually WATCH the video first, because there have been many fake videos of a downgrader since the illuminati exploit, if the person is loading like an orangejpeg file, probly a fake.

sorry, that will take u to 1.50, then you will either want to run devhook (unrecomended)or you can upgrade to 3.03 oe-c or even better 3.40 oe-a!! and then you can play ISO's.

Please help I have a fw 1.5 bought this way but I think it may have been downgraded. and it is TA 082 I am running devhook 0.46 with no problems I want to be able to play newer games that need the next devhook I have tried to install devhook 0.5 but It does not work can anyone help I have read the threads but I am still not sure if what I want to do is possible.

 

The only way to do this is upgrade to a custom firmware,the latest is 3.40 OE-A...

can any 1 help put cwcheat on my psp (3.40 OE-A) i,ve downloaded cwcheat and instructions say to put ms_root folder in root folder of my memory stick then it says go to recovery/plugins and it should say cwcheatpops enabled but when i go to plugins there is nothing there if any1 has a solution i would greatly appreciate help

 

The folder with the % and the one without put inside PSP/GAME.Then load where you load Devhook...also you need 75% of battery.

You need to upgrade to a custom firmware.Like i said,the latest is 3.40 OE-A.

The plugins folder for custom firmware is the one seplugins on the root.Check if you have the files inside it,or the folder that you copied there is called like that.I can't help you more because i don't use cwcheat.

ok i have a 1.50 psp (i downgraded a few months ago)
and have been enjoying homebrew for a while now well a few days ago i tried an iso i had previously working on my psp but got an error message saying i need to upgrade my firmware from 2.71 to 2.80 or higher im using devhook ver 0.46 i used the ultimate installer by dark alex usb edition so my question is how do i fix this i have searched the net for a devhook upgrade but can not find one in the ultimate installer format as i have no idea how to do it manually please help
