I Have a NEATGEAR router which was installed with my Roadrunner. After tyring [bold]BitComet[/bold] and [bold]AZUREUS[/bold] I was convinced it was a piece of #%@!@%.

Sometimes, randomly, in the middle of a torrent the router would magically lose connection with the internet, and I'd have to unplugg/reset the router.

However, been using [bold]Bitlord[/bold] for 2 days and havent had a shutdown, most likely because I installed PeerGuardian 2. Any credence to this, or have I just been lucky?

WHo knows, but for anyone having similar problems PeerGuardian is worth a try

    Hi there Acidfire,

This is a little bit off topic, but here's my 2 cents on it !

Azareus would KILL my home network too !

It seemed to flood the router / home network switch or something.

I have an older Netgear RT301 (1 port) and I had the same problems.

In the configurations, I have set the OUTGOING connections to 3 MAX.

    Everthing runs much smoother now.

And as mentioned above, I also have an opened port (Port Forwarding) for Azareus !

Maybe this change will also help you !

I only run Azareus at night anyway, so I don't bother other family members during the day :)
