routers

    Iam using b/band cable with ntl in the uk,is it worth getting a router for my system and which one any info on this please

    Unless you have multiple computers that you want to connect to the internet there really isn't much use in getting a router. Most routers have built in firewalls which you need on broadband, but you can run a software firewall instead like Zone Alarm or Outpost.

    Since routers are fairly cheap it might be easier just to do both (hardware & softeware) but realize both routers and firewalls require configuring

    What would you want to use the router for? The name I know sounds cool, but unless you have a possible use for it I wouldn't go out an buy one.
