Hello, it's been more than a year since I've done a run with hijackthis; and I'm a bit rusty, already did some cleanup, as my system was beginning to run a smidge slower than I'd like.

Below is the updated log. At the time of running this log, the only visible apps open were Thunderbird, Firefox, and Avira Antivir. I own a PDA, and a razr, both of which are connected to the pc on occasion. I do not use iTunes, or any other Apple products with this system(So why is Bonjour on my machine?)

I'm just looking for spy/mal/bloat/virusware which might be bogging down my system; not having any largely noticeable issues.

Oh, and if you're wondering why your computer has slowed down, try this:

    Click Start
    Click Run
    Type "msconfig" without ""
    Go to the Services tab
    Select "Hide all Microsoft services"
Deselect things which you don't actually need. (Search Google if neccesary.)
    Then go to Startup tab
Disable everything you don't need at start up.

The kind of things you should disable are things that you don't use. Eg; if you don't need your virus scanner updated 24/7, disable this startup, update it once a week or everytime you do a scan. Disable things like MSN, or things you wouldn't use until you need them.

Note: Don't disable your virus scanner, only the update part.

To repeat and to add on to what Alex posted:

    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)

    O23 - Service: Viewpoint Manager Service - Viewpoint Corporation - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe

Viewpoint always causes problems from what I read.

Thanks, I was aware of msconfig.exe, I've been a fairly knowledgable user for some time now. But it never hurts to mention things like that, because you never know who may not have heard of it.

I'll take a look at removing the other suggested items, especially:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)

    As well as viewpoint.

Thanks to both of you for offering assistance so quickly. It's great to see that there are still so many helpful people on this board! ^_^

Soz, I'd just noticed you had many processes running. I've actually had someone ask me if MSN was malware, goes to show there are still noobs out there.
