I set up my two comps before with a router and modem with ethernet cables, and now my friend wants to set up his. But his consists of being wireless. Now here is the question, do i do everything the same, like settings wise, as i would for using ethernet but just for wireless? I wasnt sure if it would be set differently or not.
The same settings should work. I would guess that you have the PCs set to get an IP automatically and the router is providing DHCP for the PCs, but if you have them manually assigned the same thing should work on your friends. The WAN side of the router would be set for DHCP or a static IP, whichever his provider gives him.
