hey guys, i just don't get how to burn dvds with this program =( here's what im getting for now.. i cant switch device for some reason =/ any help?
i have 2 drives!, 1 cdrw and dvd read and the other is dvd writer... it just wont let me pick the other drive..
Does any program see the burner. DVD decryptor for instance. If yes, the prob is with Roxio. If not seen by any program, go to Device Manager and uninstall the DVD burner. Reboot and let windows discover it as "new hardware found".
well it works on nero, dvd decrypter etc... hmm yeah probably is too, oh yeah before i was able to burn dvd with roxio ( this mornign actually ) when i get home from school something about java script so pop and mess my computer up a little, and the burning program froze..
Nero and Roxio do not like to be together on same drive. Pick one or the other (prefer Nero) and get rid of one. M<ay actually have to use a utility to remove all traces of he program.
If you are going to remove Roxio (I advise this) and keep Nero (I also advise this), here is a tool to make sure you get rid of everything: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml
hmm so roxio isnt really good at making dvds huh? well can you guys recommend me a program to burn .avi to dvds?
I believe Nero Vision will do that: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 Here is the Nero 6 updates, it has everything: http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Updates.html Nero 7 is out, but I've been sticking with 6 for now. Also DO NOT install InCD if you don't feel an absolute need for it, it seems to cause conflict with Nero. At least with mine and several others I read about it did.
Anything Roxio can do, Nero can do better. And Nero is a better friend to the DVD helper software we use here at AD.
is that why there are still errors with nero? I don't really hear any errors around here except for nero and just about everyone uses some other burning program like sonic record now or something of the sort.
Most AD users have rejected Roxio a long time ago and are using better alternatives. Do a search for Roxio and keep track of how many positive versus how many negative comments there are. Do what you want but be informed before deciding.
thanks so much guys, =) i'd stick with nero, ive been had this for long time hehe i just uninstalled my roxio, trying to get refund =(, hope i can refund it! nero vision rules =)
Agree with Beltline: After you uninstal Roxio, use a Roxio cleanup application to be sure all traces are gone: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml
