    @tokijin
    read this
    http://www.ps2nfo.com/

dont bit off more than you can chew on this one,if you bothered to read through my posts, you would have seen that i have tried all methods of rebuilding, amongst other things

this game has anti mod protection on it.period

some people who have modchips fitted have actually taken the game back to where they purchased it from, not knowing they had to dis-able the chip to get it to load

Alright I digress. I hate backing down from a challenge, but I also know my own limitations. There probably is some way to backup this game, I guess the patch just hasn't been released yet. I didn't mean to offend anybody, I've just seen threads like this before, that were later resolved. Oh well hopefully somebody will patch this game for you bloaks in the U.K. and Europe. Good thing us Americans have football and don't care about Rugby, lol. Hopefully somebody with some programming skills will come along and patch RL2. C'mon amateuer hackers on AD, do your stuff! Later.

Few things i want to mention. The people saying why don't we put our ideas together to come up with a solution, well in a answer to that most of us don't know the first thing about actually cracking a program or finding charcters in files that might be stoping a backup so i can't see how that was even worth suggesting.

Number 2 the dude who asked about the online gaming with backups, their is a thread in the dvd backup section for ps2 about doing it so go look their.

number 3 Stop chatting about crap about what regions use what because its obvious where the majority of complaints about backing this game are coming from and its australia and nz.

I like american football and madden 06 is a kick ass game but to say don't worry about rugby isnt going to help us resolve our problem.

We need to stop ignoring forum rules

Okay your putting words in my mouth. I never said to not worry about Rugby. I merely made an observation that in the U.S., nobody cares about Rugby, which is true. If you do like Rugby, good for you, it is no doubt a brutal sport which makes American Football look like ballet. I wish you all the best in getting this game patched. No reason to be a spoil sport, I have no trouble admitting when I'm wrong. In this instance I was wrong. See that's not so hard.

Well Steelers are going to the Superbowl. Michael Vick has herpes, so make sure Urlacher doesn't get to close to his groin region lol. Go Steelers. Okay this is pointless, but what the hell it's Friday.

Gave up long ago on the PS2 version since it's not all that great. Got the PC version working however without the original using daemon tools. So many people are asking about the PC version etc so i'll post instructions here for the PC VERSION ONLY:

-Mount the first CD/iso/mdf with daemon tools 4, select Securerom emulation

    -install the game
-Download Antiblah and double click on antiblah_en_on.bat wait until it does it's thing and press anykey
-mount the second cd iso with daemon tools 4, securerom emulation should be selected
-rightclick on rugbyleague2.exe and change compatibility mode to windows 2000.
-double click on rugbyleague2.exe and it works.

for more info head to: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=158640

If the mods feel that this post should be moved to the PC section feel free to do so, but I could not find the rl2 thread there. cheers.

    Blueshift,

If you are referring to my post about online gaming, you might not have read it properly.

I used to be able to play online patched backups, but cannot now. My modchip is being detected

oh my goodness for those of you who wanna play and have the image all you do is this, use daemon tools!!!.
If you got windows XP do this as it is all i did
1)put the image on daemon tools on a virtual drive.
2)go to my computer and right click on any real cd roms drives you got and click properties.
    3) Go to the hardware tab and press the left button once on the cd rom drive, and click properties.
    4) then go and disable the drive ie do not use this device (disable). 5) after you do this press apply and do it for anymore other cd/dvd rom drives you have.
    6) then simply click the shortcut and run the game. done it works.
    Thanks alot bye.
I found this out when trying to play prince of persia, btw its a great game.
when u do this no crack is needed. posted this on other thread but doesnt seem that anyone reads it, anyway works for me if it dont for u try upgrading to daemon tools 4.00

im sorry i didnt even try to play the game when i did this,
it just goes into the game then when u think ur in and can now play wihtout a cd it asks u to insert it!
dont know how it knows but it does
