What he said, Does your Ubuntu REALLY detect your PS3 wireless?

It's just that you are the first person to mention this. Rumour has it that it doesn't, unless that link you have is a new build.

How do i make my ps3 boot the XMB on startup instead of my Ubuntu? i installed it using a friends keyboard and wont be able to use linux untill I buy my own keyboard, so i need to boot directly to XMB on start up.

Thanks for all the help MidnightJ as I have installed ubuntu after having some problems you've helped me out with but I too am wondering does ubuntu actually detect your ps3 wireless because my wireless connection is not detected. Thanks for all your help.

once you boot your game-os again, from theh XMB set the settings in settings - other os to not boot otheros.

Great tutorial. I am assuming that the wireless will work when it is actually installed.

I am at 63% right now on the install.

A good tip to use for killing processes, when you go to system monitor, go to processes and do select all. Then go to edit and select kill processes; it will be a lot faster for getting rid of the processes.

The yaboot bootloader requires at least 819200 bytes in size using the hfs mactintosh file system" I already have my hd formated I don't know why it's not working,,,,

Hi, I have installed Ubuntu to my ps3 hdd.
It loads up fine (but slowly)
I too can not get wireless connection, it picks up the wired device but no wireless. Is this some sort of Bug with Ubuntu.
    This needs sorting out.

Also this thread need to be stickied.

Yeah, you can set the default to ps3 os...but mine automatically does that when i type in the boot-game-os at the kboot. So, i have to go to run other os as default to get back into it.
