I am remodeling my house, and am running TV and phone lines to roomes that did not have it before. My question is will there be interference if I run the TV cable and phone line together? Or should I keep a litle distance between them. I heard there can be interference between data lines if run parallel.

And is there a loss os signal quality if I split the tv cable with more than one splitter?

    Thank you

the cable is shielded so shouldn't interfere with telephone line. on the splitter try using a powered splitter or booster.

The cables should be fine. As for the quality, yes it will go down, but you can use a booster like ddp said.

Thanks. I knew someone here would know.

And another question. I am thinking of going with a DSL conection(I have cable now. I don't know much about DSL). If I have a phone line running to the place the modem will be, but I already have a phone there, can I use the other 2 sets of wires in the main wire (the phone wire I have has 2 sets of wire's in it) and make sure all the sets are connected to the phone splitter in the cellar?

dsl uses the phone line so don't need to do that. all phone jacks with handsets attached get a filter connected to phone jack & phone connected to filter. the dsl modem does not get a filter.
