after making a few coasters due to buring the wrong way or chosing the wrong options...i decided to burn to an +rw first then test the game and if loads fine then put it on a +R. the problem is that my ps2 isnt reading the +rw, but i have a v9 so it should. does this means the game isnt working, which it should since i just bought it and havent used it yet or is it just my ps2 having trouble reading the +RW? i tried burning a game that previously worked onto the +RW, but that didnt work either. so is the the game burnig incorrectly somehow or is it my ps2 not reading +rw? i burned at 2.4x and 1x

have you got a modchip or using fliptop method? It might be a stupid question but you never said in your post. What type of media are you using? I don't think rw are any good for ps2 backups.

yes, sorry about that viper ps2 v9 fliptop w/smd 3.2. I also use dvd decrypter to make my backups. Unfortunately, I have a ps2 v4 the only media I can use is dvd-r. This media has never let me down apart from my 26p a disc dvd-r, which worked until the dye came off, lol. The brands I use for my backups are maxell 4x and tdk 4x dvd-r. Give - a try you have nothing to lose.

What games are you trying to make backup copies of? If you want we can also check your dvd decrypter settings against mine. Hope this helps.
