I recently baught an E Systems laptop(it's cheap and crap) and it has a strange partition on it. S: drive which is 1.54GB size with 1.5GB free space.

It has Windows Vista basic on it. My other laptop is an adevnt and it doesn't have a partitioned drive and it's got Vista premium on it.

Can I get rid of this partition, shrink it?

what kind of data is the 1.5 GB on the 3 GB partition?

    maybe its a recovery image

in which case since these days 3 gigs aint nothing i'd say leave it

I have C:Vista drive and S:System drive. It's not a 3GB partition it's only 1.54GB with 1.5GB free space. Only 400MB is being used but by what I have no idea. The space doesn't really bother me but having a partition does. I have a few external harddrives that I plug in daily and it's going to be a problem if I can't get rid of the partition. Or at least, hide it.

Any manual/instructions come with the laptop? If so, read it.
