a kvcd/skvcd is a mpeg-1/mpeg-2 file with a very low bitrate, the lower the bitrate the worse off the quality, on the other hand you can fit a whole movie onto 1 cdr(but this format can only play on a selected few dvd-players). theres no codecs you need for this format so it should be as easy as finding out the system of your file (ntsc, ntscfilm or pal) and finding out if its a widescreen or full screen picture(use g-spot to find all that out) and then using tmpgenc or whatever encoder u prefer to convert to dvd, just a warning tho although the quality is already quite poor the quality will be even worse when converted. check out the kvcd site to find out more about the format: http://www.kvcd.org/portal/index.php and the kvcd dvd compatibility chart: http://www.kvcd.org/portal/articles.php?lng=en&pg=19 cheerz
