    S-Video or Component Cables

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Right now I have one s-video cable and one component cable. Here is my questions. What is the best set up? I have cable box, ES20 and TV. Right now I have the s-video going from TV to ES20 and don't have the component cables in use yet, just regular (red, white, yellow) going from ES20 to cable box. I'm not real sure about using the component cable instead of the other.

Right now my S-Vid is going into the TV and I watch the DVR on Video 1, guess that will have to change if I go with component from TV to ES20 right?

Also the ES20 is connected directly to the TV via s-video and audio cables (red and white) this comes from the out on the ES20 to the Video 1 on the TV. When I am watching just the TV the sound is great. When I change to Video 1 the sound becomes much softer. Any ideas??
    thanks

You are going to get your best video possible when going with the component video. Replace the S-Video with Component if you have that option with your TV. You'll have to leave the red and white audio cables there however.

As for the soft audio, try some heavy duty audio cables, but other than that you may have to live with that part. I have all my audio going through a reciever, and the sound goes through my home speakers. I don't use the TV speakers at all.
