I have emachine 466 with an intel celeron P2 with 192mb Ram with windows XP. Just formatted and i have an ATI s-video card that’s installed and the original ATI monitor(video card) that connects through the motherboard. Also on s-video card it has 3 inputs monitor, s-video, and rca video jack.

What i would like to do is watch movies from computer to tv (with s-video). I WAS able to get the movie to play on both screens (monitor and tv). But the thing is, I would like to surf the net and check email while the movie is playing IN full screen mode ON tv but not computer monitor.

p.s. both cards are active in device manager

    Simplified -

watch movies FROM cpu TO tv and still be able to surf net

Most video cards will give you the clone or dualview option. Not sure which one for your video card works but with one or the other you should be able to minimize the dvd player program and it still stays in full screen on secondary monitor.

    Good Luck
