sagem dbox s* movie flashing

Hi my sagem dbox2 will not work on any s* channels it just come on for 2 seconds and then of for 2 seconds and so on the box works ok at my mates other channels work ok anybody got any ideas could it be the cable signal to high or low when I scanned it at home it found 158 trans but at my mates it only found 140 please help it has sportster 1.7 flashed on
