    I only see 1 good Sale price on DVD media this week. Circuit City has Sony 25 pack spindles of DVD+R & DVD-R for $8.99. Not bad at all. I've used these frequently & they are Excellent! Gotta go there!

    Unfortunately these are all made in Taiwan...so no YUDEN's :(

    @akyllonen, yes they're made in Taiwan & not YUDENT002 . However, I have used these (The DVD+R) and I can tell you that they are Excellent Media. They code as Sony. In fact I haven't had any bad burns at all with these.

    Just got the staples ad emailed to me from the company and they will have Imation 30 pack DVD+R on sale for $1.94 (regulalry $22.94). You can't beat that!

    Forgot a crucial detail - that Imation price is just for Black Friday and it is early bird (while supplies last and store opens at 6am).

    My local Circuit city had Sony 50pack spindles for $17.99 Which is slightly better than the 25pack $8.99, and those were all made in Japan.

    @akyllonen, Gotta correct ya:). I purchased 150 of this disc in 25 pack spindles for the special price of -$8.99 from Circuit City 4 weeks ago. All disc were made in Japan. Also with SONY it doesn't matter they don't make cheap quality media. Any DVD company can produce a bad disc or two. But overall it does not matter where there made. I have had both Japan and Taiwan made disc -R as well as +R. SONY 8x DVD-R is the best media in my opinion and can be purchased locally and on sale as mentioned. Excellent start time. DVD player does not have to track media content only to deliver errors. Just push play . I 'll be out to get some of these SONY soon.

    I just visited Office depots website yesterday and those maxells are confirmed!!!! Friday only!

    Spindles of 25 for $5

    That's a bargain even if they do code as Ritek-r03 on the plus 8x or even better with the japanese Hitachi!!!!

    I stand corrected. I've never seen 25pks from Japan...always the Taiwan ones.

    Maybe not to you, but I never settle for the SONY coded ones when I can have the TY's at the same price.

    I'll be raiding ODP in the AM for these worth the drive at this price....these will be great for my give-aways and "loaners" (that never get returned....
