     The Verbs at Best Buy are NOT the 'Movie Reel' discs ... And, you gotta look for the MIJ Maxell discs .. HOWEVER, the WORST Verbatim is still better than the BEST of anything else

     That's my personal opinion and if you try to beat it out of me, you're gonna get hoit

    The sale at Staples is still going on. I managed to find four of the #30 spindles of Fuji DVD-R 8x MIJ for $8.94 each. Yes, they did ID as TY.
    The #100 slim DVD cases for $8.94 are a bargin as well.

    josephga: Those maxells at office depot will come from both taiwan and japan for both the plus silver tops and dash 8x gold tops. The maxell 8x from taiwan are all ritek,still very good. The spindles that say made in japan are hitachi! Office depot likes to place Made in Japan stickers over where Made in Japan is on the outer shrink wrapper.

    They also have the maxell full hub inkjet printables. Office depot has some great sales on them once in a while,so keep your eye on the sale fliers. The maxell +8x full hubs are coded Maxell-002-00 and made by Hitachi.

    That's way too much. Try Super wal-mart. They have the maxell full hub printables,spindles of 25 for $15-$16. I thought that was high.

    Office depot has a maxell sale,buy 1/get 1 free every month or so. They are definitely cheaper during that sale.

    I haven't really checked out this weeks flier yet,since staples has plenty of those fuji ty's that are 1 minute drive from my home.

    @mord,

    the MIJ Fuji 8x dvd-r are ALSO Taiyo Yuden made~! TYG02 is the media ID coding and these are EXCELLENT MEDIA~!

    also, regarding the Verbatims, MOST if not ALL of them nowadays are MADE IN TAIWAN, NOTHING wrong with that at all~ the general rule of thumb DOES not hold true with Verbatims~

    you can NOT equate MIJ=good stuff, and MIT=crappy media~ at least NOT with Verbatim, and in my opinion, RITEK as well~

    the MCC coded Verbatims MIT are GREAT STUFF, see my signature, also, RITEKS are ALL made in TAIWAN and they are good quality too, IN MY OPINION of course~

    so, good luck if you do go back and pick that Fuji MIJ dvd-r spindle up, if i were you, i would have grabbed it and ran to the cashier~ :)LOL

    I just came from Best Buy. They have the 10 packs of Verbatim DL's, but they're $62.99. I had them scan them just to make sure. No dice... Gonna check on Best Buy online.
