Yeah, the Verbatim 10 pack DL's are $62.99. They're not even in the weekly ad. I don't know why catfreak posted them as $19.99.
catfreak posted that because they WERE/ARE $19.99 online...ONLINE ONLY, you have to go through the "pricematching" game when you go to the store to get them at this price, this MAY take quite a lot of arguing~ it was for me at least~ no go for me, but, OTHERS have gotten lucky~ yes, they are SOLD OUT now, but inventory/stock changes on a daily basis, so, keep trying...
I got 3 packs of them, but i had to go thru two different managers to get them at the $19.99 price. But it was worth it to get 30 of them for that price.
I talked to someone at the corporate headquarters and they told me that matching their on-line price was up to the individual store. I was told that they ENCOURAGE the customer service managers to match their on-line (Buy.com) prices as long as the item is NOT sold out. I also pointed out that nowhere in their on-line ad did it mention that it was an on-line only price. In my case i went to the BB store on Monday, however the sale started Sunday, so i didn't have high hopes of success. There it was, 1 pack of 10 Verb DLs with that 62.99 price, and no on sale tag. I grabbed it up and about that time a sales rep came up and asked me if everything was ok. I told her about the online price and she said they do price match. I asked if they had anymore in inventory, and she said no, but a truck was due in tomorrow. Today i went in, and the shelf was re-arrainged. No where were any Verb DL 10 packs, only the 3 for 19.99 packs. Even the shelf sticker for 62.99 was gone. I asked another sales rep if they had any 10 packs in, and she said no, they were sold out. Then i asked about the truck, and she said that it came in, but no Verb DL 10 packs were in the shipment. (yeah right, somebody got to that shipment and stashed those aside. All they have to do is wait a week and those verbs will suddenly be worth 62.99 to them again) So, i got the online order in time, and managed to get one more at the local BB store. Better than nothing. Somebody probably got their a$$ reamed for letting them go at that price. Or, it could have been the old ploy of putting something on sale at a really low price, but only having 2 of them in the store, in the hope that the customer will buy something while they are in the store. They had some fuji DLs in there, but i was looking for the Verbs. Most of the Fuji +R 50 packs were MIT, but i did find one pack out of 25 that was MIJ. The top cover for the spindle has a different type of locking mech, but i just looked at every upc code. I don't remember, but i dont think the +R fuji MIT is any good. Thanks for the sales notice catfreak. I should have acted faster.
