I'm wanting a great HDTV with awesome picture quality and I may have decided to purchase this set. With the many features that it holds, I'd like to get it. If anyone has reviews on it please be free to chime in. The price is fairly expensive, but I've done some research and found a place - www.plasmabay.com that has it listed for $1800. From comparing the competition, why does the Samsung's have such a high contrast level, and pixel color? Is this a downside or a plus?
I have a 40 inch Samsung and love it. Side by side in the shop it looked better than the Sony Bravia. But that could just be a personal taste thing for me. I don't think you could go wrong with either. Also the latest phillips sets out are apparently very good. Higher contrast ratio, and faster response time. However the Samsung is the best value for money panel on the market.
