samsung dvd

    please can anyone help . i have a samsung dvd player thtas 18 months old, it has been working fine , but yesterday i tried playing a disc and and disc eror was coming up . i have tried numerous dvds and the same message comes up please help thanks

    it could just be that the laser is dirty ,the laser has to be able to see all of the disc if it has gathered dust it wont be able to do that and so wont play. you could try a dvd laser cleaning disc(this will also clean cd players)will cost about €10 euro or about £13 pound but its well worth having and it would be a cheap fix.

    thanks for that but i have even tried using the cleaner and when i put in the tray and close it the tray opens after a few seconds so i cant even clean the laser
