My Samsung HLS6767W screen is getting blurry by sides and shut the TV down after 10 seconds. Its been one and half year to buy this TV. My friend told me to replace my lamp.

Is this really needed to replace the lamp if so then how much could it being expensive?

Could there be something else wrong with the TV?

Should I go for a warranty claim? Like I said, I’ve only had it just over a year and now I don’t get a picture at all!

    Any help would be appreciated!

You shouldn't have to replace the lamp until like another year and a half, i'd call customer service and i guess you might have to go for a warranty claim.

Although I have only had my 67" (the exact unit), for approximately 6 months, mine is still as sharp as a razor. Color is strong and vibrant with deep blacks. I chose mine over the Mitsubishi and have no regrets. The problem you seem to be experiencing makes an extended warranty sound pretty good. Hope it works out to your advantage.

First of all, your bulb would have nothing to do with a blurry picture so don't replace the bulb just yet... Even though you should have a backup bulb in case you ever need it.

How long have you had the TV? has it ever been serviced? By blurry on the sides to you mean left and right side, or all around with top and bottom included?

I do suggest you to call Samsung for service or warranty issues if applicable.

If you do want to buy an extra bulb i recommend you try this.

    Samsung Lamps Update

If you can include pictures of the problem we can diagnose it better.

    Good luck!

Lamps are expensive products. You can't fine them at cheap prices.
Well here comes different Quality issues. Check all the connections sometimes
they are not fully connected and create problems.
