Hi i am thinking of buying one of these lcds but am unsure if the extra £200 is worth it for the 1080???

What is everones view on this is the 1080 worth the extra cash

    Seen the R88 for £548
    the M86 1080 for £750

The £200 is quite a bit extra for me really but if its worth the extra i will eat rice and sarnines for a few weeks.

I will just be viewing in the front room mainly TV and the odd PS3 games

I saw both in currys and both had a good picture but the 1080 was playing a blu ray dvd and did look awsome.

Can i have some good advice !!!

    Many thanks

The only device using the 1080p signal is Blu ray, thats why it looked good.

the R88 is 1080i (hd ready)
    the m87 is 1080p (full hd) (37, 40, 46, 52)

Unless you watch a lot of blu ray, go for the R88, or if you dont mind a 32" go for the LE32M87BDX its a M87 but 1080i not p, but is 100mhz.

"Samsung's 100Hz enhancement technology inserts an extra frame between each two normal ones, which helps to reduce blur in fast-moving scenes. This is not a duplicate frame but is calculated to match the source using estimation and compensation processing"
