samsung rom drive

    hay guys i have an xbox with a samsung rom drive and it will play dvd-r`s but won`t play any dvd+r`s and i don`t know if it is the bios or what it is it is an origional xbox with an evox softmod and no hard drive or rom drive upgrade

    btw I`M NEW TO THIS KINDA STUFFAND I JUST BOUGHT 20 XBOX GAMES ON DVD+R`S
    IT WOULD BE COOL IF U GUYS COULD HELP ME

    Im not personally familliar with that drive but, it is very possible that those disks are not compatable with the xbox. (and most likely)

    they are because my dad was playing them on the guy that burnded them`s xbox and my dad also got another friend to play them on their xbox so i know that that is not the problem

    i don`t know but i know from what i was reading last night is that it could be the bios i guess that the m8 bios does not suppoer the dvd+r`s but i don`t know how to tell what bios i have

    yeah, just download a BIOS checker. I know xbins has one, you could probably get one via torrents aswell. (do you know what xbins is?)

    well i have no friggen idea about the, bios md5 hash e47a913dd8a6bf662f6128135de96c but, genuine bios 5101 retail says to me that you are using the retail bios,... im sorry but i dont really know how to help. :(

    yeah, that wont "update" anything though, you can just change setting. and u can only use M8 with that i believe.

    what kind of mod do u have? and i already said that i think that u have the retail bios. i need to know what kind of mod you have.

    if its a soft mod then you cant change your bios. and thats why you still have the retial/original bios.
