Have been using DVD X copy to back up my DVD's and everything was working just fine untill about a month ago. I have to drives the first is my read DVD-ROM (model # is the post subject) and a DVD burner drive that is working just fine still. The above listed DVD-rom will not read any DVD at all any more...?? You can hear it running and then it stops running and when you go to my computer to try to explore or run with it says that the drive is empty...? It still plays any CD-ROM but doesnt play any DVD-ROM or movies or any thing that is a DVD at all..? Can Any One Give Me some kind of an idea where to start?? Things i have done is i downloaded the firmware update from samsung site and it said that it was a mismatched version update. Dont know what else to do i really dont want to call dell for support because they give me the run-a-round every time...lol Dan
I'm having the exact same problem as dan_south.And I also use a Samsung DVD player, and I tried to update the firmware and have the same problem.I might add that this happened when I tried to back up my dvd "The Cave".I use Anydvd and CloneDVD2.I'm up to date on both software.I wonder if my DVD players BIOS have been screwed up?I'm using a Gateway pc.Please, somebody help!
