Ok, I've tried everything over the last three days! I've done a million google searches and read about this so much my eyes are bleeding! I can't get this thing to work and I can't figure it out.

I bought a Samsung sh-203-n (Sata) DVD burner. I've never used a Sata drive on my box, but it looked pretty standard, just located the right area of the motherboard and hooked it up. I'm running XP SP2 and the motherboard is a PCCHIPS T12 V1.0.

It is reading discs fine.......will play a dvd and music no problem. It will begin writing and then it will error out. Neither Nero nor DVD Decryptor will work.

I've updated my BIOS, still nuthin!

I know that I should just go get another burner that isn't Sata, but I think everyone knows where I am.......I MUST MAKE THIS F*CKING WORK!! Oh, by the way, the burner was a christmas present from my wife. Long story short; we had a baby (time sucker-upper) around the holidays and I didn't get around to installing it until this week. Now she's giving me that look like "ok douche-bag you can't make this thingy work plus you waited 4 months to try to install it, now we can't send it back!"

I am going to include a log from Nero from the last failed attempt. Can someone please help me read this??

    Thanks!

what are you burning? have you tried a firmware update or reinstalling your drivers? change the source of the burn?
have you checked to make sure the SATA connection is in nice n snug?
what media brand/type are you using?

    try using imgburn,
