I have a internal Samsung burner (model number in Subject line) that I made into a external burner. Now I have no problem reading DVD's, nor do I have a problem burning CD and DVD+R. However when I try to burn anything on DVD-R media a message appears on any burning application I use saying "Reset Ocurred", and the burn fails. I wouldn't be posting this unless i haven't hadl any sucess before in the past. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or had this problem before in the past.

    sounds like you use Nero...

...let's have LAST section of your Nero log which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar.

You can differentiate sections via this section divider "====== *** Nero-Burning Rom, History File *** ======"

not too long ago I use it to burn one DVD-R and the process succeded. I tried using the DVD-R's in Alcohol 120, and Nero, I don't want to waste about 20 good DVD-R's but i feel like that's what it's coming too. Should I just go ahead and use +R disc???

Thanks for yall's help in advance.
