The system is about 15 months old and I've been using it every day. But last wk when I turn the system on, a message "Protect" displayed then it turn itself off.

I've done some research on google and some say the wire connection caused the problem, so i disconnected all speakers and switch the machine on again, but still shown the same error. Then i did a trial and error on each individual speaker but still the same.

    Any suggestion?

Since it's not a short from a stray speaker wire, I'd say it's a problem with the protection circuit. If it's an HTIB (home theater in a box), I'd buy a new system. Buying a new one is probably just as cheap as a repair, if you could even find someone willing to repair.

You can contact Samsung about it. They may can tell you what it will cost to repair. Figure in the shipping, both ways, and see if it's worth it to you.
    Good luck!

I've already spoken to Samsung, and they gave me a local repair centre contact details. So I rang the repair centre and they quoted me £45 for inspection + £20 repairing fee + £parts.

You might be right, it might be cheaper to buy a new one.

    Thanks for your help
