I had trouble getting my daughters mp3 player to work on her computer. On mine it would recognize it as a mass storage device in My Computer. On hers it recognized it as a Sansa m230 and would only work with Windows Media Player. There is a MTP usb mode and a MSC usb mode. The if its set to MSC it will work like a regular flash drive. The manual is very sparse. I was impressed with this player in its ease of use but there is little documentation. Also the ear buds are a little subpar. Hope this helps.
I KNOW ITS LONG< BUT PLEASE READ THIS...:'( ok, i need help from you if you feel up to it...i got a sansa m230 for christmas and put a bunch of music on there. a couple of weeks ago i got some new cd's and i was able to put one of them on there but then i had to leave to go to church. when i got home, i tried taking off some music to put the rest of the new music on, and in the time period between me leaving and coming back the player switched from saying "Sansa M230" dto "Removable Disk". now i cannot access the music i put on there before, so i cant delete any of it, or put very much more music on there(50mb tops) because my computer realizes that the mp3 player has already used up most of its memory on the MTP(when it said sansa m230). its stuck on removable disk now and i cant get it to switch back over to MTP...can you help me?
