Sandisk Micro Cruzer

    I have this Sandisk Micro Cruzer 8Gb and it always freezes my computer when i plug it in. Can anyone help me understand why this happens? I'm running Windows XP on my PC.

    no i didnt, should i? how do i do that if it freezes right after i plug it in?

    does it come in as a extra drive when you click on my computer EG:d,e,f,ect..
    or can you not see it at all

    yes it comes in as a seperate drive

    ok i hope you have nothing important on it
    when you see the drive, right click on it and go to where it says format and click on that do not do a quick format
    you may have the option to change it from fat to fat32 or vice versa
    just leave that for now
    lets know how it goes

    no prob
    maybe some body might be able to give you a different solution
    like try in a diff comp and try to save data to that 1 then format ect...

    still didnt work, had to reset computer from power button because of the freeze.

    i cant even right click to format

    when you connect it to computer does your whole screen freeze
    or just the usb stick

    everything freezes i can't click on anything. i can move the mouse but it has the hour glass icon, everything locks up. The cruzer blinks a red light also, not sure if that helps.
