Hi, I was just googling for help and I came across this forum hoping that I could get some. I just bought a Sansa e250 2GB mp3 player. I added a video to the player and everything is fine, except there is no sound. Is this because the mp3 player doesn't play sound during videos..? or is there something wrong. I added the video through the Sansa Media Converter btw. Thanks for any help.
i recently purchased a sansa e250 and everything is great but i have tried using it at work to listen to music. when i connect in mtp mode, the sansa shows connected but on the my computer screen it is not detected and it says that it needs a driver. in the msc mode, the sansa shows disconnected but i can find it on the my computer screen. the only problem is that i cannot see any of my music, pics or anything. i can see the pics that came with the sansa and an fm recording is on there. any help? thanks
Not sure if this will help... but.... When you see the Sansa recognized in your computer (as a drive with folders in it) it is likely that the "Music" folder in the sansa is set to be hidden. So, let's say that your Sansa shows as drive R: Then in the address bar, type R:\Music and see if that shows your music folder. Alternative to that would be to set windows explorer to always show hidden files and folders. That way it will always show even the hidden Music folder in Sansa when you plug it in. To change this in windows explorer, open any folder - go to TOOLS - then FOLDER OPTIONS - then the VIEW tab - and then in the list, find the section "hidden files and folder" and select to view them. I hope this actually helps.
Sorry to have answered someone else's question here. As far as your question, I also had problems when converting certain videos to my Sansa. I notice that it often depended on the type of video file that I started with. Often times the divx videos I used to convert to sansa gave me problems. Try and see if that is also the case with you.
Sorry this is such a late response - I only encountered the "lack of audio" problem today. I converted a recent video file (which had good audio) from my digital camera using the Sansa Media Converter software. However, there was now no audio on the Media Converter preview or on the Sansa E250. I'd converted videos created a year or two ago with no audio problem. I then tried converting my problem MP2 video to MP4 using the free DVDVIDEOSOFT.COM "video to iphone" converter and then pushing the resulting MP4 video through the Sansa Media Converter. Audio now comes through loud and clear. The older videos were taken with a Canon digital camcorder, recent videos were taken with a Sony W50 digital camera. Hope this helps.
