This question was touched on in another thread, but I never saw a reply with a detailed answer. I have a SanDisk Sansa e260 portable audio/video player and am trying to compress a DVD to it. The conversion software that is included with the player allows for VOB files. I have DVD Shrink and DVD2one and have been able to use the latter to create 2 vob files that can be transferred to the player to watch the movie (one file is 1024MB and another is 600). I'm assuming the maximum size for a vob is 1024 for some reason. Can that be modified? My core question is: Is there a way to "mesh" these two vob files so I have one 1700meg file as opposed to 2 smaller ones? I'm downloading Vdub as I type now and will try expiramenting with that. Thanks in advance for any help.
As far as I know, the Sansa Media Converter splits files after 600 seconds, or 10 minutes. I've tried to modify and change it, and a lot of other people have too. Hopefully Sandisk will come out with some new firmware to correct this problem. But, until then, I'd download the firmware updater from Sandisk's main site. Good luck! Ryan
