the blade is simular to the kryptview apart from it needing a sat dish instead of a cable connection.you do not need a smartcard it just needs hooking up to your router as did the kryptview. you will also have to pay subs to a cline which clears the encrypted channels.without a cline you will only recieve fta channels.have a read up on clines(cardshare)
